Embedding videos in the documents

If you define the content of an active area, you can chose to play a video. In this case, each video can be played within the page or in full screen mode (full screen).


To do this, select the appropriate type of video and search from the display the video to be played.

How are new issues distributed to my app?

Once the app is available in the app store the covers of additional issues will be shown and the reader can decide whether to download it. The creation and setup process is virtually the same as uploading the first issue, which is embedded in the app.

How do I send my finished app to area851 and to my Apple developer account and what happens then?

When you have finished the copy on your own iPad and decide to sent it to Apple's iTunes App Store, so that readers can download the edition, you can send it to area851 with a click of a button.

To do this, click the directory with the little (i) from the cover flow screen, select the desired issue, and then click on "upload issue"

Data types and sizes

PDF files

The PadPublisher accepts standard PDF files. To import a PDF file, the file name
must be "issue.pdf" (everything must be written in lower case!).
